Decentralized perpetual futures exchange StandX announced it will shut down operations and cancel its platform token launch following a business and market review, according to reports by Wu Blockchain and The Block. Founded by former Binance Futures head Aaron Gong and other industry veterans, the protocol reached over 237,000 users and a peak total value locked exceeding $200 million following its November 2025 mainnet debut.[2][3]

Rather than releasing a native token, StandX plans to conduct a one-time DUSD airdrop with no lockup, funded by remaining protocol revenue and additional team contributions. An official announcement shared by the platform stated that airdrop claims will open on Nov. 1 and close on Dec. 31, while community commentator @anymose reported that an eligibility checker will go live on Oct. 26 to allocate DUSD based on points.[1][2][3]

StandX is winding down services in phases. Yield distributions concluded on Oct. 15, and perpetual trading markets will switch to reduce-only on Oct. 20. All remaining open positions will be automatically closed at mark price on Jan. 15, 2027, with asset withdrawals and DUSD redemptions closing permanently on Jan. 31.[2][3]
