S&P Dow Jones Indices has completed its first-ever onchain derivatives transaction, according to industry reports and social posts from Kalshi Crypto, Watcher Guru, and Crypto Rover on Oct. 13, 2026. The transaction took place on the Canton Network blockchain.[5][6][2][4][1]

The transaction was an over-the-counter (OTC) swap referencing a fully tokenized index, according to a report from Polymarket. Crypto Briefing noted that the onchain swap could enhance efficiency and reduce transaction costs in institutional trading.
