Interactive Brokers launches Ethereum staking for eligible clients

Interactive Brokers has introduced Ethereum staking for eligible clients in partnership with ZeroHash, allowing users to earn compounding rewards on crypto held alongside traditional assets.

Interactive Brokers has rolled out cryptocurrency staking services for eligible clients, starting with Ethereum (ETH), according to announcements and reports across multiple crypto media outlets and market commentators. CoinDesk reported that the feature enables investors to earn rewards on digital assets held alongside stocks, options, and futures on a single unified platform.[1][9][2][4]

The staking infrastructure is provided via ZeroHash, with clients able to stake and unstake ETH directly through the broker's Client Portal, according to reports from The Block and Crypto Briefing. Rewards are credited as additional staked Ethereum and can automatically compound while positions remain staked.[6][5][7][3]

The brokerage manages over $900 billion in client assets and serves more than 5.3 million accounts, according to Coin Bureau, while commentator Crypto Rover put the account tally at over 5.5 million. The new staking functionality expands an existing digital asset offering that already includes trading in 20 cryptocurrencies, stablecoin funding, and external wallet transfers.[2][7][8]
