Ripple and Robinhood partner to expand RLUSD stablecoin across retail and institutional services

Ripple and Robinhood have announced a strategic partnership to expand adoption of Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin across Robinhood's retail and institutional offerings, CNBC and Watcher Guru reported. The agreement introduces the digital dollar to Robinhood's broader ecosystem, with Robinhood's Johann Kerbrat noting that "utility is what moves stablecoins forward."[1][2][7][8]

RLUSD has gone live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp, with availability on the primary Robinhood app expected later this year. According to BlockNews, the rollout aims to bring RLUSD stablecoin services to Robinhood's 28.6 million funded users.[4][5][9]

The collaboration also covers institutional brokerage and treasury operations. Robinhood plans to integrate Ripple Treasury to automate its global financial operations and employ Ripple Prime for financing. Furthermore, Robinhood will use RLUSD for institutional settlement, with trades on Bitstamp settling via the XRP Ledger.[3][5][6][9]
