Nvidia to invest $3 billion in Meta as AI partnership deepens
Nvidia is committing $3 billion to Meta's multi-billion-dollar equity offering as both companies expand their collaboration around next-generation AI infrastructure and Muse AI agents.

Nvidia plans to invest $3 billion into Meta Platforms as the tech giants expand their artificial intelligence partnership, according to reports from CNBC and the Wall Street Journal. The investment coincides with massive fundraising efforts by Meta to support AI infrastructure, with total targeted capital raises ranging between $95 billion and $98 billion across public offerings and an at-the-market share program.[3][4][9][11][13][14][16]
Under the deepened partnership, Meta will expand its adoption of Nvidia's next-generation hardware to scale Muse AI agents. Meta plans to deploy Vera Rubin systems, standalone Vera CPUs, Spectrum-X Ethernet networking, and BlueField-4 data processing units to enhance training and inference performance per watt while cutting operational costs. The companies are also collaborating on AI safety and governance by exploring Nvidia's OpenShell reference architecture and Nvidia Sentry for monitoring agent behavior.[1][2][7][8][9][10][12]
Meta's fundraising efforts include upsizing its common stock offering to $25 billion from $22.5 billion, priced at $625 per share. CNBC reported that Meta planned an initial $35 billion in underwritten public offerings, followed by an additional $60 billion through an at-the-market program. Barron's noted the $60 billion program involves nonvoting Class C common shares following a one-for-one distribution scheduled for January.[4][9][11][12][15]

$NVDA is expanding its $META partnership beyond GPUs into standalone Vera CPUs and security software for AI agents. Pretty interesting as AI shifts toward agents because Nvidia is now going after CPU spending traditionally held by $INTC and $AMD while building another layer of software lock-in beyond CUDA.
