The tokenized real-world asset market will reach between $3 trillion and $10 trillion by 2030 "without question," according to Amy Oldenburg, head of digital asset strategy at Morgan Stanley. Reported by The Block, Oldenburg stated that "energy drives energy across our industry" and pointed to growing institutional interest, noting that "there's a lot of FOMO in the institutional space." Crypto Briefing noted that the projected expansion could drive innovation and increase institutional participation across financial markets.[5][6][3][1]

Following the forecast, analytics platform Token Terminal outlined key beneficiaries positioned to capture value from sector growth. These include compliant issuers that earn yield on underlying asset reserves, blockchain networks that record ownership and collect transaction fees around the clock, and decentralized finance protocols that generate fees by facilitating trading, lending, and borrowing of tokenized products.[2][4][7]

Token Terminal dashboard data indicates the tokenized asset market cap currently stands at $349.1 billion across 12,868 assets, 350 issuers, 50 blockchains, and 318.4 million holders. Stablecoins dominate the sector at $302.1 billion, led by Tether with $184.3 billion and Circle with $73.4 billion, with Ethereum ($162.8 billion) and Tron ($94.8 billion) hosting the largest shares. Tokenized funds represent $35.1 billion, led by Sky at $5.0 billion and Securitize at $3.7 billion, followed by $8.1 billion in tokenized commodities and $3.9 billion in tokenized stocks.[2][4]
