Amazon-owned Bee unveils AI wearables designed to record and summarize conversations
Amazon-owned Bee has introduced the Bee Frontier wristband and Bee Eclipse magnetic phone recorder, two personal AI devices that listen to daily conversations to generate summaries, to-do lists, and reminders.

Amazon-owned Bee has launched two new personal AI devices designed to capture and process everyday speech, marking its first hardware release since being acquired by Amazon, according to TechCrunch. The lineup includes the Bee Frontier, a wearable device priced at $74.99, and the Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized magnetic recorder that attaches to the back of a smartphone starting at $99.99.[6][9][7]
Both devices are built to record interactions throughout the day, automatically turning spoken conversations into summaries, to-do lists, notes, and reminders accessible within the Bee companion app. Quartz also reported that the devices can generate Amazon shopping recommendations based on users' conversations, and Amazon CEO Andy Jassy confirmed the hardware integrates directly with Alexa+ and Amazon's ecosystem.[3][5][2][6]
The Bee Frontier can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, offering a water-resistant design and up to seven days of battery life, while the Bee Eclipse offers more than 21 days on a single charge. Alongside the hardware, an optional Bee Pro subscription priced at around $12 per month unlocks unlimited AI summaries and email integrations, according to Neowin and AGTP.[3][4][9][1]
Addressing potential privacy and surveillance concerns, Jassy noted that each device features a single power button and an active status light. Real-time audio is not permanently stored and is deleted after processing, with data restricted solely to the user.[3][1][9][8]
