According to on-chain investigator ZachXBT, suspected insiders at Axis Robotics received more than 76 million AXIS tokens—valued at over $12 million—from the project's team multisig wallet. The recipients allegedly began selling the tokens on decentralized exchanges and depositing funds into cryptocurrency exchange Bitget, causing the AXIS token price to crash by 40% over a 24-hour period.[1][3][4][5]

ZachXBT reported that a single insider sold roughly 42 million AXIS on the Base network, converting the tokens into more than 5.04 million USDC held across eight wallets. A flow diagram shared by ZachXBT traced transactions leaving an insider wallet and moving through intermediate addresses into DEX swaps and Bitget deposit accounts.[2][3][4][5]

The sell-off followed the token's launch on October 21, 2026, and came shortly after listings on Binance, Coinbase, and Upbit. Community members noted that Axis Robotics had unlocked 20 million AXIS for a community airdrop, an amount far smaller than the 76 million AXIS distributed to insider-linked wallets.[3][4][5]
