Binance announced that it has replenished 90% of the assets lost in a recent security exploit, increasing coverage from a prior milestone of roughly 80%. The exchange had previously allocated over $6.34 billion in corporate funds to cover the stolen balances and stated that it will directly absorb the full financial impact of the incident rather than imposing losses on its users.[4][3][2][1]

According to updates detailed by Solid Intel, 10 primary digital assets are now 100% backed: BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC. Binance stated that the remaining 10% of impacted assets consists of less liquid tokens that are currently being acquired through open market and over-the-counter channels. The restoration effort relies on capital drawn from the Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU), the futures insurance fund, and corporate treasury reserves.[5][7]

To document the restoration, Binance took a new Proof of Reserves snapshot on Oct. 31, with zero-knowledge verification expected by Nov. 3. The platform confirmed it remains on track to reopen user withdrawals within its stated timeframe on Nov. 1, while working to restore SAFU back to approximately $1 billion.[4][6][7]
