Microsoft-owned Xbox has secured exclusive game streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto VI at launch, according to a report by Tom Warren of The Verge. The streaming arrangement is set to begin in November, arriving as Microsoft prepares to open up access to Xbox Cloud Gaming.[6][1][5]

The cloud streaming agreement could allow PC players to play the game on their devices at release rather than waiting for a native PC port from developer Rockstar Games, IGN reported. While streaming will lack native PC features such as performance options and modding, it would serve as an immediate workaround for PC users.[3][2]

It remains unclear how long the exclusivity window will stay in place, according to The Verge's report relayed by Techmeme and IGN. In addition, tech outlet Digit reported that Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2026.[4][3][7]
