AI assistant startup Wabi has raised $55 million at a $1.25 billion valuation in a funding round led by IVP to build out software that integrates into group chats and executes real-world tasks.

AI assistant startup Wabi Inc. has raised $55 million at a $1.25 billion valuation, according to a report by Bloomberg reporter Micah Barkley. The company, created by the founder of Replika, is pivoting toward AI agents and now refers to its product as a personal agent.[1][4][5]

The financing round was led by venture capital firm IVP, according to AGTP. Andreessen Horowitz, Amazon Alexa Fund, and Forerunner Ventures also participated in the round.[2]

Wabi is developing an AI assistant engineered to embed into group chats and perform actions such as booking appointments. The fresh capital is intended to support building out the software so groups can collaborate with the assistant.[3][5]
