Visa partners with Mesh to enable crypto and stablecoin spending at 175 million merchants
Visa has partnered with embedded finance platform Mesh to allow cardless crypto and stablecoin payments across Visa's network of more than 175 million merchant locations worldwide.

Visa has teamed up with embedded finance firm Mesh to allow consumers to spend cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances at more than 175 million merchant locations globally. The partnership enables cardless payments directly from users' existing wallet apps for both in-store point-of-sale checkouts and online transactions.[1][2][3][4]
Under the setup, payments are processed using a Visa credential provisioned behind the scenes. Mesh manages transaction funding and automatic conversion, meaning users do not need to manually convert fiat, order a dedicated crypto debit card, or sell and transfer their digital assets before paying.[1][2][4]
The deployment requires no software or hardware updates at merchant point-of-sale terminals because conversion from crypto liquidity and dollar-backed stablecoins into fiat takes place automatically on the backend. According to a press release cited by journalist Jacquelyn Melinek, Visa's global network spans more than 200 countries and territories, having recorded $14.2 trillion in payments volume in fiscal 2025.[1][3]
