U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded approximately $999 million in net inflows on Monday, Sept. 21, marking their highest single-day intake since October 2025 and the ninth-largest daily inflow since launching in January 2024. Several outlets, including CoinDesk and The Block, noted the intake was the largest since Oct. 6, 2025, when Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $126,000. Bloomberg Intelligence senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas described the day's haul as exceeding $1 billion, noting that the volume likely reflected market action from the previous Friday.[1][2][3][7][8][9][10][11]

Demand was led by BlackRock's IBIT, which brought in around $381 million on the day. Ark's ARKB and Fidelity's FBTC also registered major contributions, drawing $289.12 million and $238.84 million, respectively. CryptoSlate reported that the spot funds absorbed roughly 11,500 BTC during the session. The fresh capital brought total September inflows for Bitcoin ETFs to $1.3 billion, following $3.5 billion logged in August.[1][2][4][8][10][11]

Spot Ether ETFs similarly posted their strongest day in months, securing $270 million in net inflows on Sept. 21, led by $110 million into BlackRock's ETHA. The heavy ETF demand accompanied market-wide price surges, as Bitcoin briefly traded above $87,000—touching a multi-month high above $87,300—and Ethereum advanced past $2,700.[2][3][5][6][8]
