A massive international crackdown dubbed Operation Confrontation Ghost has identified more than $39 billion in fraudulent funds and crypto assets, according to reports by Cointelegraph, Watcher.Guru, and Crypto Patel. The UAE-led initiative spanned 30 countries and led to more than 960 arrests worldwide.[1][2][3][4][5]

Spearheaded by the UAE Ministry of Interior, the coordinated operation brought together law enforcement agencies across 30 nations, Interpol, the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), and 13 private-sector tech and financial partners. Officials confirmed that the effort disrupted over 123.71 million online fraud attempts globally, identified more than 3,500 suspects alongside 15,500 victims, and facilitated the exchange of upwards of 9,000 intelligence items.[3]

Enforcement actions also resulted in raids on 29 fraud centers, the shutdown of more than 570 fraudulent social media accounts, and the freezing of 4,126 bank accounts. Participating authorities noted that the $39 billion total represents fraud-linked assets that have been identified rather than confirmed recovered funds, with judicial and private-sector entities currently working to recover the assets.[3]
