Trackers report $1.23 million moved from Binance to Bitget hacker wallet

Blockchain tracking services and crypto outlets reported that a wallet withdrew funds from Binance, swapped tether for ether, and transferred 457.9 ETH valued at roughly $1.23 million to an address tied to the Bitget hacker.

On-chain analytics account Lookonchain reported that an address seemingly connected to the Bitget hacker withdrew $1.23 million from Binance. According to Lookonchain, wallet 0x4885 withdrew 257.6 ETH, worth around $692,000, and 545,000 USDT from Binance about 11 hours before its post. The wallet then exchanged the 545,000 USDT for 200.2 ETH and transferred the full amount of 457.9 ETH to the Bitget hacker's wallet an hour prior to the report.[3]

Citing Arkham explorer data, crypto.news also reported that a wallet pulled 257.6 ETH and 545,000 USDT from Binance, converted the stablecoins into 200.2 ETH, and dispatched all 457.9 ETH to a wallet associated with the Bitget hacker. Crypto Briefing separately noted that $1.23 million linked to the Bitget hacker was withdrawn from Binance and routed to an attacker-controlled wallet.[1][2]
