Russia’s Finance Ministry just began paying employee salaries in digital rubles. Sounds convenient, but CBDCs are just programmable fiat with strings attached. Canada already showed us the playbook when they froze truckers' bank accounts. CBDCs simply automate that process. Say the wrong thing or attend the wrong protest, and a line of code shuts off your card at the gas pump. It’s not cash. It’s a digital rationing coupon with a state kill switch.
