Reddit announced that its homepage will now feature two distinct feeds labeled For You and Following, according to TechCrunch reporter Aisha Malik. The addition of the recommendation-driven For You tab aligns Reddit with platforms such as TikTok and Instagram that rely on algorithmic content discovery.[1][5][6]

Under the new arrangement, the app's Following tab is designed to surface posts exclusively from subreddits that a user has joined, Engadget reported. The Verge noted that the dual-feed format could represent a major shift in how members navigate and experience the platform.[2][4][7]

The overhaul has already sparked friction among community members, with BGR reporting that the sweeping updates to how users interact with their feeds are not going over well.[3]
