OpenAI lets US Pro users message ChatGPT Dots via iMessage and RCS

OpenAI has expanded messaging capabilities for its ChatGPT Dot agents, enabling Pro-tier subscribers in the United States to communicate with them directly through iMessage and RCS.

OpenAI has introduced the ability for users to text their ChatGPT Dot agents through mainstream mobile messaging protocols, according to reports from 9to5Mac, Engadget, and TestingCatalog. The integration enables interactions over both Apple's iMessage and standard RCS messaging channels.[1][2][3][4]

The messaging functionality is currently restricted to Pro subscribers located in the United States. While the rollout focuses on native text protocols, TestingCatalog noted that any future expansion to alternative messaging services such as WhatsApp or Telegram is not expected soon.[4][5]
