Nokia beats third-quarter profit estimates as AI infrastructure demand surges
Nokia posted higher-than-expected third-quarter earnings, supported by surging demand for data center networking equipment and a 123% year-over-year jump in AI and cloud net sales.

Nokia Oyj reported third-quarter 2026 results that cleared analyst expectations across key operational metrics. According to Wall St Engine, net sales climbed 10% year-over-year to €5,154 million, topping consensus estimates of €5.04 billion, while comparable operating profit came in at €605 million against expectations of €442 million. Bloomberg reported that the profit beat was propelled by strong demand for data center networking equipment as spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure accelerates.[1][3]
The quarter was highlighted by rapid expansion in advanced networking. AI and cloud net sales jumped 123% year-over-year at constant currency, backed by €1.5 billion in order intake, while IP Networks and Optical Networks grew 43% and 18% respectively. Across segments, Network Infrastructure increased 17% to €2,158 million, and Mobile Infrastructure rose 5% to €2,902 million. Nokia also reported completing an AI-RAN call on a live operator network with T-Mobile and NVIDIA, and stated that its Infinera integration is tracking for completion by the end of 2026, one year ahead of schedule.[3]
Looking ahead, Nokia guided full-year 2026 comparable operating profit between €2.1 billion and €2.6 billion and declared a dividend of €0.03 per share. Even with the beat, Crypto Briefing noted that Nokia's strategic pivot into AI and cloud segments brings potential exposure to client concentration risks. In equity markets, TrendSpider reported Nokia shares dropped 5.62% following the earnings release.[2][3][4]
