The Nintendo Switch 2 has reportedly been jailbroken in what multiple outlets describe as the first software exploit of the console, according to reporting from Kotaku, Wccftech, and HotHardware. The breakthrough marks an early vulnerability for the platform, with XDA and Polygon reporting that the exploit was achieved with significant assistance from artificial intelligence.[1][6][8][4][9]

According to Dexerto, a coder claimed to have executed the jailbreak using a children's coding game. Demonstrations quickly followed to prove the hack, with outlets highlighting custom modifications running on Mario Kart World. VideoCardz and The Verge reported that the modded gameplay featured Family Guy's Peter Griffin alongside other custom racers, including the red Angry Bird and vocaloid Hatsune Miku.[3][5][7]

The exploit clears the path for broader unofficial software on the system. Ars Technica and Wccftech reported that the jailbreak gives hackers new capabilities to run homebrew applications, develop game mods, and pursue console emulation.[2][8]
