Meta launches Meta Enterprise Platform to sell AI tools, hiring former MongoDB CEO CJ Desai
Meta has established Meta Enterprise Platform, a new unit led by former MongoDB executive Chirantan CJ Desai to sell artificial intelligence tools directly to businesses and developers.

Meta Platforms is launching Meta Enterprise Platform, a dedicated business unit designed to sell AI tools directly to corporate customers and developers. Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg described the initiative as the next major pillar of the company's business, leveraging Meta's large-scale infrastructure, models, and agents. The rollout initially packages tools including the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, and Muse Code, though The New Stack reported that Meta's Llama model family was missing from the plan.[3][4][5][7][9][13]
To lead the division, Meta named Chirantan CJ Desai as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer, reporting directly to Zuckerberg. Desai stepped down as chief executive and president of MongoDB to take the role. He previously led product and engineering at Cloudflare and served as president and chief operating officer during an eight-year tenure at ServiceNow. Shares of MongoDB fell following the announcement of his departure.[4][10][12]
The push marks a commercial expansion beyond digital advertising and consumer-facing AI. While Meta has not officially disclosed enterprise pricing, Wall St Engine reported the company aims to monetize more than $100 billion of AI infrastructure spending this year. Zuckerberg previously noted that Muse would feature a business model offering free access for a huge number of tokens while monetizing over time through small transaction fees.[1][2][8][11]

Meta already serves billions of people at scale and helps hundreds of millions of businesses reach customers. Today we are starting the next major pillar of our business, Meta Enterprise Platform, to help businesses use AI to grow and transform in new ways as well.
