The Litecoin Foundation has entered into an agreement with Greywick Digital to bring Litecoin to the Canton Network as a tokenized asset known as cLTC. The initiative, reported as a memorandum of understanding by CoinDesk and Crypto Briefing, is intended to bring Litecoin liquidity into Canton's ecosystem by the end of 2026.[1][2][3][4]

Designed for institutional traders and yield products, cLTC is structured to operate with on-chain reserve validation, continuous attestations, and built-in compliance mechanisms, according to reports from BSCN. The asset connects Litecoin to Canton's regulated multi-party system, which is aimed at Tier-1 institutions such as DTCC and Goldman Sachs. BSCN reported that the target for a mainnet launch is the end of 2026, though CoinDesk noted that an official launch date has not been set.[2][3][4][5]
