Chainlink and LG CNS partner to build South Korean stablecoin and tokenization infrastructure
LG CNS has partnered with Chainlink to integrate cross-chain and oracle tools into institutional digital asset systems, targeting South Korea's stablecoin and tokenized securities markets.

Chainlink and LG CNS, the technology arm of South Korea's LG Group, announced a strategic partnership on Oct. 22 to build compliant digital asset infrastructure for institutional clients. LG CNS will integrate Chainlink's cross-chain, data, and orchestration infrastructure into its digital asset platform, while the two firms collaborate on advancing technical, oracle, and interoperability standards for regulated digital assets across the country.[1][3][5]
The initiative targets South Korea's roughly $68 billion crypto market, where more than 11 million users are eligible to trade digital assets and the Korean won frequently ranks second only to the U.S. dollar in global crypto trading volume. The joint effort will focus particularly on widening the distribution and use of Korean won-pegged stablecoins as well as expanding tokenized securities.[1][4][7]
The formal pact expands on an agreement from Oct. 6, when LG CNS launched its KITL blockchain platform and signed memorandums of understanding with Chainlink, Circle, Securitize, the Canton Foundation, and Chainalysis. LG CNS also serves as the lead contractor for Project Hangang, the Bank of Korea's digital currency project whose initial pilot involved about 80,000 customers across seven banks. Financial terms and a specific deployment timeline for the integration were not disclosed.[1][3]
