Kraken parent Payward plans US perpetual futures launch on Hyperliquid via Bitnomial
Kraken parent company Payward plans to offer CFTC-regulated perpetual futures to U.S. clients using Hyperliquid's HIP-3 framework, subject to regulatory approval.

Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, plans to launch Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated perpetual futures for U.S. clients using Hyperliquid's infrastructure. Hyperliquid announced that Payward intends to become the first CFTC-regulated deployer under its HIP-3 market framework.[1][2][4][7]
Subject to regulatory approval, Payward's CFTC-regulated designated contract market and derivatives clearing organization, Bitnomial, would serve as the deployer to manage the markets as well as clear and settle contracts. Customer accounts would be carried by NinjaTrader Clearing, Payward's CFTC-registered futures commission merchant.[2][6]
To facilitate the regulated markets, Hyperliquid is developing HIP-3*, an upgrade introducing optional onchain allowlists that permit deployers to restrict market access without affecting existing HIP-3 markets. The initial permissioned-market functionality is currently available on testnet with specifications subject to change, while regulatory approval, a launch date, and HIP-3* mainnet deployment remain pending.[2][3][5]
