Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, is partnering with Trade.xyz to establish a regulated U.S. perpetual futures market running on Hyperliquid's infrastructure, according to an announcement by Trade.xyz and reports citing Bloomberg. As part of the collaboration, ICE is making a strategic equity investment in Trade.xyz under undisclosed terms. Billionaire investor Stan Druckenmiller is also joining as an investor alongside ICE.[2][3][4][7]

The planned market, dubbed ICE[XYZ], intends to offer 24/7 perpetual contracts spanning equities, indexes, commodities, foreign exchange, and digital assets through participating brokerages and platforms. The venue will feature its own exchange and dedicated clearing framework, as well as KYC and AML compliance systems. Trade.xyz emphasized that establishing the new U.S. market remains subject to regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).[2][3][5][7][9]

Trade.xyz reported that its existing markets on Hyperliquid have surpassed $650 billion in trading volume over a little more than a year. While Hyperliquid itself remains closed to U.S. residents, Trade.xyz noted that its current non-U.S. markets will continue operating and expanding alongside the planned U.S. venue.[2][4][5]

In his first-ever original post on X, Druckenmiller stated that he invested in Trade.xyz following the ICE agreement and said he looks forward to utilizing the 24/7 Hyperliquid perpetuals product to enhance his investment process. Following the reports, Hyperliquid's native token (HYPE) surged, rallying from around $78 to session peaks above $90.[2][6][8][10][11][12]
