Google has begun rolling out its Gemini Personal Intelligence feature to Android Auto, with an expansion scheduled for vehicles with Google built-in over the coming months. According to 9to5Google, the integration is an opt-in feature designed to bring context-aware AI assistance into the car so drivers can stay connected without taking their hands off the wheel.[7][2][6][11]
With user permissions granted, Gemini can pull personal context across connected Google applications, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Maps, Photos, Search, and YouTube. The feature is rolling out globally on Android Auto with a few regional exceptions, according to Analytics Insight. In addition, businessline reported that iPhone users are gaining access to Gemini within Google Maps on Apple CarPlay.[5][9]
