Elon Musk says SpaceXAI will be renamed SpaceXSI
Elon Musk announced plans to rebrand SpaceX's artificial intelligence division to SpaceXSI, aligning the company with a federal push to replace 'artificial intelligence' with 'super intelligence'.
Elon Musk announced that SpaceX will rename its artificial intelligence division from SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI. Musk embraced the terminology change on X, writing, "No more AI. SI. It’s better," before confirming the rebrand in an X reply to a user who suggested the new name, stating, "Yes, we will make that change."[6][1][10][12]
The change follows directives by U.S. President Donald Trump ordering federal agencies and communications to replace "artificial intelligence" with "Super Intelligence." Addressing the shift, Musk stated that the company's focus is moving beyond artificial intelligence, calling SpaceX a "super intelligence company."[3][5][9][11][7]
Musk gave no timeline for when the rebrand would occur, and the division's X account had not yet updated its name at the time of publication. The planned transition marks the unit's third name in 2026, coming four months after adopting SpaceXAI. Following the news, Polymarket reported that SpaceX shares rose above $165.[12][2][8]
