Coinbase lists Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin across XRP Ledger, Ethereum, and Base

Coinbase has partnered with Ripple to list the RLUSD stablecoin across its retail, exchange, and institutional platforms, offering multi-chain support on the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, and Base networks.

Coinbase has added support for Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin across the Coinbase retail app, Coinbase Exchange, and its Coinbase Prime custody platform, according to reports from DEGEN NEWS, Cointelegraph, and crypto.news. The multi-chain rollout enables users to trade and manage RLUSD with 1:1 conversions from U.S. dollars and other supported USD-denominated stablecoins.[1][4][9][10]

The stablecoin is live across three networks: the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, and Coinbase's Layer 2 network, Base. To strengthen market infrastructure, Ripple will supply balance sheet liquidity on Base to improve on-chain market depth, BSCNews reported. The partnership targets expansion across trading, payments, and institutional markets.[1][3][5][6][7][8][9]

Outlets reported varying figures for the stablecoin's scale, with BSCNews citing a circulating supply of $2.4 billion, while Crypto Briefing and The Block reported that its market capitalization has surpassed $2.6 billion. The Block also noted that RLUSD will be accepted as collateral on Coinbase Global Exchange at a later date.[2][7][9]
