Celestia's TIA leads weekly gains as altcoin performance remains mixed

Celestia's TIA token surged over 45% during the week ending mid-October 2026, outperforming a broader crypto market where major assets cooled and only a fraction of altcoins posted gains.

Altcoins delivered uneven returns as major crypto benchmarks trended downward, according to research firm Delphi Digital's weekly performance dashboard covering Oct. 9 to Oct. 16, 2026. Delphi Digital reported that only 34% of the altcoins tracked on its sector dashboard rose over the week. During the same stretch, major benchmarks retreated: Bitcoin dipped 0.48% to $82,165, Ethereum slipped 0.86% to $2,464, and Solana declined 2.19% to $106.68.[1]

Celestia's TIA led weekly advances on Delphi Digital's dashboard with a 45.0% climb, moving from $0.4727 to $0.6854. Other notable gainers included ZK (+23.7%), EIGEN (+14.4%), KMNO (+14.2%), and PYTH (+13.6%). Sector returns diverged sharply, with Privacy gaining 5.19% as the top performer and Launchpads falling 9.93% as the primary laggard. Crypto Briefing noted that the narrow breadth of the rally pointed to a potential market rotation into smaller-cap tokens alongside heightened volatility risks.[1][3]

The market weakness among large-cap cryptocurrencies was underscored by BSCN, which noted on Oct. 17 that only 10 of the top 100 crypto assets were in the green over the past week. BSCN reported that TIA's seven-day gains had reached 47%, while Injective's INJ logged a surge of approximately 26%. Among the few other top-100 assets posting positive returns were Monero (XMR) and Aerodrome (AERO).[2]
