Apple has designed the foldable iPhone Duo with a replaceable cover layer situated above its display to help minimize the visible crease, according to reports from 9to5Mac and MacRumors. Apple executive Kate Bergeron confirmed the inclusion of the replaceable folding display layer on the upcoming device.[1][2][3][5][6]

The crease-hiding nano-texture layer is designed to wear out over time and must be peeled off and replaced, according to The Mac Observer. Swapping out the layer will cost $19 for customers with AppleCare, while pricing for users without AppleCare coverage has not yet been determined.[4][5]
