Apple updated its App Review Guidelines with new rules designed to curb harmful content and deceptive developer practices, according to reporting by 9to5Mac's Marcus Mendes. The changes specifically crack down on AI "nudify" applications as well as "bait-and-switch" software that conceals undocumented capabilities, including nudification tools, until after passing App Store review.[2][3][5]

The updated enforcement also takes aim at AI deepfakes, MacRumors reported. In addition, Engadget reported that Apple tightened the App Store's policies against AI-generated nonconsensual intimate imagery to prevent such apps from being offered on its platform.[1][4]
