Anthropic revealed as SpaceX's largest customer in multibillion-dollar AI compute deal

Artificial intelligence firm Anthropic PBC has emerged as SpaceX's largest single customer, overtaking the U.S. government to account for more than a third of the space and technology company's revenue, according to reporting by Bloomberg. The AI startup was identified as "Customer B," a previously anonymous client listed in a recent SpaceX filing.[6][5][8][7]

SpaceX disclosed in its filing that approximately 34.5% of its revenue during the third quarter originated from Customer B paying for computing power through its AI division, now called Super Intelligence. The Wall Street Journal also reported that Anthropic is SpaceX's largest customer, while Crypto Briefing noted that the arrangement has turned SpaceX's AI division profitable amid substantial compute demand.[6][1][2][4]

The scale of the partnership represents around $3 billion a month in spending, with Anthropic committing up to $120.5 billion through 2029 and monthly payments reaching $3.1 billion starting in December 2026.
