Amazon rebrands Kindle Unlimited as Kindle+ with expanded audiobooks and AI narration

Amazon has renamed its Kindle Unlimited subscription service to Kindle+, broadening its catalog with additional audiobooks that include titles narrated by artificial intelligence.

Amazon has rebranded its Kindle Unlimited subscription service as Kindle+. The revamped offering maintains its reading catalog of books, magazines, and comics while expanding access to a larger selection of audiobooks.[2][5]

According to reporting by Maria Diaz for ZDNET, the expanded audio catalog incorporates titles generated through Virtual Voice, which are narrated by artificial intelligence rather than the human narrators standard on Audible and other audiobook services.[1][4][6][7]

The roll-out also appears to differ geographically, with iPhone in Canada reporting that subscribers in Canada are not receiving the complete Kindle+ catalog.[3]
