At the Sui Basecamp event, Sui Network announced the phased release of Hashi, a proprietary Bitcoin finance protocol backed by more than $500 million in committed capital, according to reports from Cointelegraph, CoinGape, and BSCNews. The network is slated to launch within the month.[1][2][3]

Hashi is designed to unlock native Bitcoin as collateral across Sui's decentralized finance ecosystem. According to CoinGape and BSCNews, the protocol allows Bitcoin holders to lend, borrow, and access structured credit using hBTC on Sui while the underlying Bitcoin remains secured on the Bitcoin network.[1][2][3]

Digital asset platform Anchorage Digital has joined the initiative as a launch partner. According to BSCNews, the integration with Anchorage Digital will provide institutional participants with two regulated, compliant avenues to engage: tri-party qualified custody settlement and stablecoin liquidity.[3]
