Strategy's STRC preferred stock returns to $100 par value for first time since May
Strategy's perpetual preferred stock STRC touched its $100 par value on Nov. 4, 2026, reaching the milestone for the first time since May and potentially clearing the way to resume share sales to fund bitcoin purchases.

Strategy's Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, traded under the ticker STRC, climbed back to its $100 par value on Nov. 4, 2026, reaching that benchmark for the first time since May. Market data showed STRC reaching $100 on Nasdaq during afternoon trading, completing a rebound after trading under $80 during the summer and touching a low of $71.25.[1][2][7][8]
The return to par marks a key threshold for Strategy's capital strategy, as $100 is the minimum price at which the company currently intends to issue new shares under its at-the-market equity program, according to Wu Blockchain. Regulatory filings show Strategy used $5.46 billion in net proceeds from STRC sales to buy bitcoin during the second quarter of 2026 before halting sales in the third quarter. The company subsequently bought back roughly $2.25 billion of STRC shares between July and Nov. 1.[4][6]
With $17.51 billion in remaining capacity under its STRC program as of Nov. 1, returning to $100 could allow the firm to resume issuing preferred equity to fund additional bitcoin acquisitions, Crypto Briefing reported. The instrument currently carries a 12% annual dividend paid daily in cash, with dividend rates adjusted monthly to encourage trading near par value.[3][5][6]
