Solflare validator halts staking rewards after provider security incident
Solana wallet Solflare reported that a security incident at its staking provider compromised validator keys and paused staking rewards, though delegated user funds remain unaffected.

Solana self-custody wallet platform Solflare announced that its staking provider suffered a security incident affecting the keys held for the Solflare validator. As a result of the compromise, the validator has stopped producing staking rewards while the provider conducts an investigation.[1][2]
Solflare assured users that their SOL holdings remain secure and untouched. Under Solana network rules, delegated assets stay within users' personal stake accounts controlled solely by their private keys, preventing the validator or key holders from transferring the funds.[1][2]
The platform is moving to a new validator and noted that users do not need to take immediate action. A forthcoming app update will provide a guided migration path, and rewards will resume once delegations activate on the new validator. Solflare added that it is developing a compensation plan for users who complete the migration.[1][2]
