Defense technology startup Shield AI is acquiring radar company Echodyne Corp. in a deal valued at $5.3 billion, according to reporting by Bloomberg's Rebecca Torrence. Echodyne manufactures radar sensors designed for both commercial and government customers.[1][2][3][4][5]

To help finance the transaction, autonomous combat drone maker Shield AI is raising $2.5 billion. The capital haul includes a $1 billion Series H funding round that prices the company at a $28.8 billion valuation, more than doubling its $12.7 billion valuation recorded in March.[1][2][3][4][5]
