IonQ delivered a third-quarter earnings beat, reporting revenue of $173.8 million—a 336% surge year over year—that exceeded consensus expectations ranging between $141 million and $142 million, according to market updates from Wall St Engine, TrendSpider, and Shay Boloor. The quantum computing company posted an adjusted loss of $0.29 per share, outperforming forecast losses between $0.34 and $0.38 per share. GAAP earnings reached $1.42 per share, driven by an $896.2 million gain on warrant liabilities.[3][5][1][2]

Segment results showed the IonQ Platform generated $90.3 million in net revenue, up 127% year over year, while SkyWater Foundry Services contributed $83.5 million. Bolstered by accelerating interest, IonQ raised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to $505 million to $515 million, well ahead of the $455 million consensus estimate. Bloomberg noted that IonQ now expects revenue to nearly quadruple this year as both governments and private enterprises expand quantum investments. In statements shared by Wall St Engine, the company credited growing demand and its vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities through SkyWater for the milestone guidance.[3][4][1][2]

The quarter also featured several major commercial and defense milestones. IonQ announced a DARPA Stage C program with potential value up to $300 million and a separate $28 million DARPA contract for 25 optical atomic clocks, which includes a $30 million option. Commercial awards included a $33 million contract with SDT for Superion 256 and quantum memory, a $25 million Superion 256 sale to Florida International University, and the company's first on-premise Superion 256 deployment with NVIDIA. Remaining performance obligations more than doubled to $1.2 billion, while pro forma cash, equivalents, and investments totaled $3.7 billion.[3][1]
