Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) deleted and reposted an announcement outlining a partnership with Trade[XYZ], amending its wording to emphasize that the two parties only "plan to bring" Hyperliquid-based perpetual contracts to the U.S. and that launching U.S.-regulated versions remains strictly "subject to regulatory approvals."[1][3]

According to ICE's updated statement, the exchange operator intends to run U.S.-regulated versions of Trade[XYZ]'s markets by utilizing its partner's position as a deployer of real-world-asset perpetuals on Hyperliquid. Both entities are seeking approvals to build a market on Hyperliquid that can operate KYC-compliant perpetual markets, including authorization to offer leveraged trading.[3]

The planned marketplace is tailored for retail participation and is designed to run separately from ICE's existing institutional futures franchise. If launched, U.S. traders will be able to trade around the clock across asset classes including cryptocurrencies, equities, indices, commodities, and foreign exchange. According to Cointelegraph, the initiative surfaced after social media users noticed the deleted tweet, noting that ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, had previously called on U.S. regulators to rein in Hyperliquid.[2][3]
