Coinbase opens regulated crypto options and perpetuals for U.S. institutions

Coinbase has launched regulated access to global crypto options and perpetual futures for eligible U.S. institutions via Coinbase Prime, tapping liquidity from Deribit across more than 20 digital assets.

Coinbase is opening regulated access to global cryptocurrency options and perpetual contracts for eligible U.S. institutional clients through Coinbase Prime, according to reports shared by crypto market commentators DEGEN NEWS, Crypto Banter, and Scott Melker.[1][2][3]

The institutional trading rollout is backed by liquidity from Deribit, identified as the world's largest crypto options exchange.[1][2]

The offering spans more than 20 digital assets, featuring major tokens such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Avalanche, and HYPE.[1][2]
