Chainlink has launched CCIP Vault Adapters, an open-source standard designed to allow yield and asset vaults on a native chain to receive one-click deposits from investors across more than 80 connected blockchains, according to reports from BSCN and Solid Intel. The tool enables users to deposit directly into crypto vaults without needing to bridge assets manually.[1][3]

Powered by Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, the adapters automate cross-chain deposit routing and token transfers for ERC-4626 vault contracts. The implementation removes the requirement to deploy duplicate smart contracts across multiple external networks, enabling developers to maintain liquidity and risk management on their home blockchain while pulling in funds globally.[1]

Crypto Briefing reported that the launch could enhance decentralized finance scalability and user accessibility, carrying the potential to boost total value locked across participating protocols.[2]

Key facts

  • Chainlink launched CCIP Vault Adapters to permit vaults on a native chain to accept one-click deposits from over 80 blockchains.
  • The adapters remove the need for users to perform manual token bridging.
  • Built on the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), the standard removes the need to deploy duplicate smart contracts on other chains.
  • The open-source framework automates cross-chain deposit routing and token transfers for ERC-4626 contracts.
  • Risk management and liquidity remain centralized on the vault's native blockchain while attracting outside deposits.
  • Crypto Briefing reported the technology could improve DeFi accessibility and scalability, potentially increasing total value locked.
