AMD expands FSR 4.1 upscaling to Xbox Series X|S, RX 6000 GPUs, and handhelds
AMD is rolling out its FSR 4.1 upscaling technology to Xbox Series X|S consoles, Radeon RX 6000 graphics cards, and portable devices alongside new driver updates.

AMD is expanding its FSR 4.1 upscaling technology across a broad range of gaming platforms, bringing support to Xbox Series X|S consoles, Radeon RX 6000 series GPUs, laptops, and handheld devices. According to Wccftech and Tom's Hardware, the arrival of the upscaler on Xbox Series X and S gives Microsoft's home consoles a direct counterpart to PlayStation's PSSR and QSSR upscaling features, with Tom Warren highlighting the upgrade as especially notable for the Xbox Series S.[2][5][6][7][8]
The release for older PC graphics hardware arrived ahead of an originally indicated 2027 schedule, according to VideoCardz. Support for RX 6000 cards was delivered alongside the release of the AMD Software Adrenalin 26.10.1 driver, which also extends FSR 4.1 to MAX 300/400 and Ryzen AI 300/400 hardware while adding game support for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, and FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE.[1][9]
The upscaling technology is also expanding across AMD's processor ecosystem, reaching Ryzen APUs as well as Ryzen AI Max, AI 9, and Z2 chips, with Wccftech reporting that Vulkan support is on the way. Additionally, VideoCardz reported that AMD's announcements teased FSR Diamond for Project Helix.[2][3][4][8][9]
