Spot bitcoin ETFs post $115.6 million in outflows amid three-day redemption streak
U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs saw roughly $115.6 million in net outflows on Tuesday, bringing three-day cumulative withdrawals above $1.15 billion even as bitcoin's price climbed past $78,000.

U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $115.6 million in net outflows on Tuesday, according to The Block, marking a third consecutive session of net redemptions. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) accounted for the vast majority of the exits with $95 million in net outflows. Spot ether ETFs also experienced selling pressure on the same day, logging roughly $85.4 million in net outflows.[3][2][1]
Tuesday's net redemptions followed daily outflows of $643.2 million on Oct. 30 and $398.6 million on Nov. 2, bringing cumulative three-session withdrawals to more than $1.15 billion, according to Coinglass flow data. Although Fidelity's FBTC took in $6.8 million and Bitwise's BITB attracted $21.9 million on Nov. 3, the modest inflows were insufficient to counter broader fund exits. Farside Investors data cited by CryptoSlate similarly placed total net outflows over the three sessions ending Nov. 3 at approximately $1.16 billion.[1][4][5]
Despite the heavy ETF outflows, bitcoin's price held above $76,000 throughout the selloff and pushed above $78,000 following a Democratic sweep, according to CryptoSlate and Crypto Briefing. Crypto Briefing reported that the outflows highlight the market's vulnerability to sentiment swings despite ongoing long-term institutional interest. Looking ahead, analyst Ryan Kirkley noted that his year-end price target of $85,000 to $90,000 remains contingent on steadier ETF flows, improved liquidity, and broader macroeconomic confidence.[5][6]

Bitcoin spot ETFs have now recorded three consecutive days of net outflows. The latest reading shows $115.6M leaving the products, following $398.6M and $643.2M in the two prior reported sessions. That is more than $1.15B in cumulative outflows across those three days. BlackRock’s IBIT has been the largest source of redemptions, with $95M leaving in the latest data after $405.3M the day before. There were smaller inflows into Fidelity’s FBTC and Bitwise’s BITB, but not enough to offset the selling. I think this is important context for Bitcoin’s current bounce. ETF flows do not dictate price on their own, but they show that institutional demand has been a net headwind while BTC is still below $79,500. The encouraging part is that the latest outflow is materially smaller than the previous two sessions. For me, the next thing to watch is whether those outflows continue to slow, or whether the ETFs return to net inflows as Bitcoin tries to reclaim $79,500. That would make the recovery far more convincing.

Bitcoin spot ETFs have now seen three consecutive days of net outflows. The latest data shows $115.6M leaving the funds, following $398.6M and $643.2M in the two prior reported sessions — over $1.15B in total. BlackRock’s IBIT was the largest source of the latest redemptions, although smaller inflows into Fidelity’s FBTC and Bitwise’s BITB provided some offset. ETF flows are not a guarantee of where Bitcoin goes next, but they show institutional demand has been a short-term headwind while BTC remains below $79,500. The positive sign: the latest outflow was substantially smaller than the previous two.
