Robinhood explores stock token tied to T. Rowe Price actively managed ETF
Robinhood Crypto is exploring a partnership with asset manager T. Rowe Price to launch a stock token tied to an actively managed ETF on Robinhood Chain, subject to regulatory approval.

Robinhood Crypto is exploring the creation of a stock token linked to an actively managed ETF in collaboration with asset manager T. Rowe Price, according to reports by Unchained and The Block. The planned product would be issued on Robinhood Chain and marks an effort by the brokerage to expand beyond index-tracking tokens into actively managed investment vehicles. Robinhood posted on Thursday that if the project succeeds, the offering would be the first stock token of its kind.[1][2][3][4]
The proposed token remains subject to regulatory approvals and final terms. T. Rowe Price managed $1.90 trillion in client assets as of the end of August. In its announcement, Robinhood declared that "institutions are here, and our rails are ready," though it did not specify a release date, target regions, or the specific fund that would be tokenized.[1][2]
Robinhood's stock tokens are legally structured as tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They grant holders economic exposure to an underlying security without conferring beneficial or legal ownership rights. The brokerage already lists more than 190 stock tokens tied to equities and ETFs such as Apple, Google, and Invesco QQQ. While Robinhood Chain launched its public mainnet in July to provide tokenized products in more than 120 countries, these tokens are unavailable to U.S. persons and face restrictions in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.[2][3][4]
