Palantir Technologies reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $2.31 billion, up 96% year over year, topping analyst expectations of $2.17 billion to $2.18 billion. Adjusted earnings per share reached $0.44, beating consensus estimates that ranged from $0.39 to $0.41. The company netted $1.13 billion in profit, delivering a 49% margin as total quarterly sales crossed the $2 billion threshold for the first time.[1][4][5][7][8][10][11][13]

The quarter marked an inflection point for the enterprise software maker, with U.S. commercial revenue surging 148% year over year to $984 million, outpacing U.S. government revenue of $953 million for the first time in company history. In a shareholder letter, chief executive Alex Karp stated that the company had essentially doubled its business since last year and declared it Palantir's firm intent to take the entire market. In prepared remarks, Palantir's chief financial officer noted the signing of multiple eight-figure contracts with shorter durations than usual as enterprises accelerated initial sovereign AI deployments.[2][3][5][7][8][9][10][13][18]

Alongside the earnings release, Palantir's business update showcased technical momentum, highlighting a fine-tuned four-billion-parameter Nvidia Nemotron 3 Nano model that outperformed larger frontier AI models on an RFI classification task for construction firm McCarthy. The update also disclosed that Nvidia is training open AI models on its supply chain data inside Palantir's Ontology. Palantir lifted its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between $8.530 billion and $8.534 billion and projected fourth-quarter revenue between $2.649 billion and $2.653 billion. Although shares rose as much as 5% in initial after-hours trading, the stock traded lower the following day amid lukewarm retail investor sentiment.[6][10][13][15][16][17]

Palantir $PLTR CFO on shorter contract durations: We signed multiple 8-figure deals in the qtr that were "shorter in duration than usual" as customers rapidly adopted initial sovereign AI capabilities in their enterprise. As we continue to deliver value with sovereign AI over time, we expect both the duration and size of these contracts to increase. Note: Total TCV bookings grew just 6% YoY to $2.92B, while U.S. commercial TCV rose 11% against 148% revenue growth. RPO was essentially flat QoQ.
