GTA 6 leaker CyberLeek shares new footage as tied crypto token rebounds
Leaker CyberLeek returned from a hiatus to release 25 minutes of apparent Grand Theft Auto 6 developer footage, lifting the associated CYBERLEEK token by 200% over two days even as it remains 94% off its late August peak.
Pseudonymous leaker CyberLeek returned from an online hiatus to post 25 minutes of new Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage claimed to come from an internal developer build, according to reports from HotHardware and Protos. The leaked material reportedly showcases unseen open-world gameplay, mission cutscenes, a first-person mode, and protagonist Jason running naked alongside partner Lucia wearing bikini bottoms. Gizmodo also reported that the footage shows Jason with a concealed weapon.[1][2][3]
CyberLeek originally emerged on August 18, utilizing leaked clips to promote the CYBERLEEK cryptocurrency while claiming the leaks served as a consumer-rights protest against the removal of physical game discs. Protos reported that the token's market capitalization climbed roughly 200% across two days surrounding the newest leak, though it remains down 94% from an August high of almost $40 million.[3]
The leaks prompted developer Rockstar Games to state that it was heartbroken by the spoilers potentially diminishing the intended player experience. Parent company Take-Two Interactive responded by issuing subpoenas to platforms including Discord, Microsoft, and X in an effort to uncover CyberLeek's identity ahead of the game's scheduled November 19 launch, which has already accumulated nearly $430 million in pre-orders.[3]
