Stablecoin issuer Circle has teamed up with Tereina, the payments company behind SAP Pay, to bring USDC and EURC stablecoin settlement into SAP's enterprise software. Embedded within SAP Cloud ERP, the integration allows businesses to manage stablecoin transactions alongside traditional payment methods when invoices come due. In addition, CoinGape reported that the Arc blockchain will serve as the preferred network for eligible enterprise settlement under the integration.[1][2][3][4]

Accessing the stablecoin rails requires an institutional Circle Mint account, which explicitly excludes individual applicants. Circle's onboarding procedure includes background checks, identity verification, know-your-customer compliance, and sanctions screening, taking anywhere from one day to over a week. Circle Mint interfaces with the SAP software stack via an API to mint, redeem, and manage USDC, targeting use cases such as cross-border supplier payments, intracompany entity transfers, and settling accounts payable and receivable.[2][5]

Enterprise access remains subject to geographic constraints and differing regional guidelines. SAP's Connect documentation states that SAP Pay is generally available in the United States and the United Kingdom, while terms on its product page restrict transaction processing to entities domiciled in the U.S. or the European Union. Over the coming months, Circle and Tereina plan to conduct customer proof-of-value trials and train corporate treasury and payment specialists.[1][2]
