Bitcoin rebounds toward $83,000 as Trump rules out Iran strike before midterms
Bitcoin bounced back above $82,000 and neared $83,000 after President Trump signaled that the U.S. will not strike Iran prior to the midterms, cooling oil prices and crypto liquidations.

Bitcoin rebounded above $82,000 and neared $83,000 following a sharp dip toward $80,000 earlier in the week. The market recovery gathered momentum after President Donald Trump indicated that the United States does not plan strikes on Iran before the midterm elections. The statement helped cool crude oil prices and spurred relief rallies across digital assets and related equities like Strategy.[2][3][4][7][8][9]
The price bounce coincided with an easing of market-wide forced selling, which had triggered $1.09 billion in crypto liquidations during the drop to $80,350, according to Analytics Insight. Ethereum also moved back above $2,500 during the rebound, while crypto security experts pushed back against bunker-mode fears as macro tensions moderated.[3][5][6][9]
Despite the recovery, market participants remain cautious about additional downside risk. Decrypt reported that traders are pricing in elevated odds of further price drops before October ends. Technical analyst That Martini Guy noted that the four-hour chart continues to show weakness following repeated rejections near $87,000, calling $83,500 the key resistance level to reclaim while warning that $79,500 stands as major support if the $80,300 floor gives way.[1][10][11][12]

Bitcoin bounced from around $80.3K and is now back above $82K. The 4H chart still looks weak after repeated rejection at $87K and the loss of $83.5K. I’m watching $83.5K now. Reclaiming it would be the first sign of strength. If BTC fails to recover and loses $80.3K, $79.5K is the next major support.

Bitcoin has bounced from around $80.3K and is back above $82K. The 4H structure is still weak after repeated rejection at $87K and the loss of $83.5K. We think $83.5K is the first level BTC needs to reclaim to show real strength. If $80.3K breaks, $79.5K becomes the next major support. For now, we’re treating this as a relief bounce until Bitcoin proves it can reclaim higher levels.
