Binance launched the second phase of its withdrawal restoration at 4:00 UTC on Nov. 3, unlocking dozens of assets across networks including BSC, Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Sui, TRON, and Base. The move comes as the exchange works to recover from a hack reported at more than $6 billion, following an initial round of withdrawal reopenings on Sunday.[1][2][5][8][10]

The exchange is rolling out access gradually as security checks are completed for each token and network pairing, prioritizing assets based on user demand over the past week. Major assets reopened across supported networks include Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Dogecoin, Chainlink, Cardano, Litecoin, and Shiba Inu, as well as several stablecoins such as RLUSD, USD1, TUSD, FDUSD, and XUSD.[5][7][9][10]

According to Binance co-founder Yi He, withdrawals were re-enabled for 34 additional Ethereum assets, including ENA, STRK, and USDE, and 22 Solana tokens, including PUMP, JUP, BONK, WIF, and TRUMP.[4]

Amid the aftermath of the security breach, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao argued in an interview with Talking Tokens that financial firms must heavily adopt artificial intelligence to counter increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Zhao noted that hacking speeds will accelerate due to AI advances and called for an industry alliance to share intelligence and freeze illicit funds faster.[3][6]

THE BLOCK: Amid the $6 billion Binance hack, Changpeng Zhao said companies need AI-based defenses and an industry alliance to share lessons and freeze stolen funds faster. "The speed of hacking is going to pick up because of AI capabilities [being] so strong now. At the same time, we've got to use more AI to defend," Zhao told Talking Tokens on Tuesday. "The only way to fight a monster is to kind of become that monster."
